Showy Hen, Cockfield
Whilst on holiday last year (2008), we stayed
on a working farm in Yorkshire.
This is a picture of the cattle that
they have. I don't know what breed
they are but they seemed friendly
enough. The hair on the cow that has a white
and fawn head, (the cow above) reminds me
of Noel Edmond's. I don't know why, - you might disagree.

Now, you might think,
"What has this got to do with a hen"?
Well you would be correct and the hens
that were at the farm I hadn't seen before.
The farm livestock is mainly cattle for beef,
sheep and lambs and only a few hens.
The eggs that they produced were available
for you to have them for breakfast,
what a great idea that was
to go and get your very fresh breakfast,
obviously not bacon and sausage.
